What is music anymore? What has hip-hop become, i always hear my mom and pop telling me that what "our generation" listens to is not music. Music has changed so drastically from Micheal Jackson "I Want To Love You (P.Y.T.)Pretty Young Thing You Need Some Lovin (T.L.C.)Tender Lovin Care And ill Take You There I Want To Love You(P.Y.T.)Pretty Young Thing You Need Some Lovin(T.L.C.)Tender Lovin Care Ill Shake You There" to Kurtis Blow"Breakes on a bus brakes on a car Breaks to make you a superstar Breaks to win and breaks to lose But these here breaks will rock your shoes
And these are the breaks Break it up break it up break it up!" to Jay-z "Only thing missin is a Missus You ain't even gotta do the dishes, got two dishwashers Got one chef, one maid, all I need is a partner to play spades with the cards up, ALL TRUST
Who else you gon' run with, the truth is us Only dudes movin units - Em, Pimp Juice and us.. it's the Roc in here! Maebach outside got rocks of air
PJ's on the runway, Young got air I don't land at a airport, I call it the clearport
Therefore, I don't wanna hear more back and forth about who's hot as Young, holla!" Do my parents have a point? let's see whose music is hot now? Lil wayne "Im the hottest shit jumping out the coffe pot man im just tryin to get my spot like a polka dot. Lil cush make my eyes and my shoulders drop, lil syrup and I can make the soda pop, keep talkin n I can make my soldiers pop, real niggaz ridin wit me till the motor stop, I got these hoes straight livin out the soap op. I got a couple like a coat" Has music changed for the better or the worse??

I think music has changed for the worst because we do not seriously enjoy music because we really dont feel it that much. In other words,, we have become monotonous to some tyoes of music that seem cool. But I also think that music has spread around the globe and different countries now can share songs that otherwise would have not been possible years ago.
ReplyDeleteMusic. So many different styles. I like it when I hear my daughter listening to music I have loved for years. I don't understand some of the music I hear her listening to that is "new." I don't like the trashy talk in some music; the way that women are portrayed as whores. But, I respect that people have different taste.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I like to play my own music. I love to play guitar. I'm not that good at it, but I enjoy it still.
I love to feel the beat of music in my chest - in particular, when the music is live. I love that.
I think music is a gift. I love music.
I also love music. Music can make a mood better or worse. Music allows you to exspress yourself in ways you might not to be able to.
ReplyDeleteMusic has changed for the worst. It now feeds into the materialistic and sexual intentions of life. From my understanding, good music came from a love of musical symphonies and inspirations from life. If sex, drugs, and booty poppin' money makin' is the inspirations for Soulja Boy and Lil Wayne, then that's just trashy dirty music. It just exposes their dirty thoughts that have nothing to relate to the rue meaning and value of life and inspiration, or celebration of music. It's just for the market.
ReplyDeleteWait, you said "music" has changed for the worst? First off you might be right but that's just an opinion. And little Wayne might not be appealing to you because maybe he isn't talking about anything you can relate to. If you don't like rap listen to RnB, or gogo.
